Soo just got macos Monterey installed and I got the "Airportitlwm.kext" and put it in my EFI folder under OC and Kexts, and then I rebooted and the wifi still doesn't work. I used the HeliPort method and moved the Kext to the folder, and rebooted, still nothing. I checked in the Hackintool app and it detects the Intel wifi, it's just not getting anything. I tried messing with the OpenCore configuration settings and I did see that the Kext was enabled. I cleared Nvram too. I asked chatgpt about this and it gave me this
If you’re using the correct version of AirportItlwm.kext
and it’s placed correctly in the EFI folder, but Wi-Fi still isn’t working, here are a few more steps you can take to troubleshoot:
Verify Kext Loading - Check if the kext is loading correctly: - Boot into macOS and open Terminal. - Run the command:
kextstat | grep -i itlwm - If the kext is loaded, it should appear in the list. If it’s not, the kext might not be loading due to a configuration issue.
I ran the command it it said "No variant specified, falling back to release". I also did this for the Airportitlwm and got the same result. I do not have ethernet in my room either.
