Had fun Working on a 2015 MacBook with Monterey. Successfully been on Ventura and sonoma via OCLP. Thought Sonoma was where I would stop so used migration assistant from a Time Machine back up from a 2012 MacBook ( to be replaced ) all went well updating but had some of the Sonoma bugs - battery ( fixed ) fan issues - graphics CPU drain - decided that Ventura was where my laptop was happiest. Back to Ventura, but migration failed - infinite boot loop. So what is the best /correct procedure for using migration?
*no choice for clean install here as I have so much music software.
I have the 2012 machine, it’s Time Machine backup and a carbon copy clone. I know it works as Sonoma was a success with migration. Currently back to Monterey, then remake OCLP to Ventura. ideas for data transferal / correct migration gratefully received.. Thanks.
