14.6.1 on mid 2012 Mac Pro

As I mentioned before when upgrading, via OCLP, from 14.5 to 14.61 admin. info lost. IOW could not get unit to allow adding program updates. etc. This machine had been running 14.5 just fine after upgrading from Monterey when OCLP 1.5 was released. Being my main computer since I got it back in 2014 I finally had to seriously think about upgrading OS from High Sierra. Went to Big Sur, absolutely no problems. When OCLP 1.5 was released decided to give 14.5 a try. Put a second SSD in and loaded 14.5 onto it - everything went smoothy. Just a quick note with 14.5. Noticed that internal HD’s (SATA) were slower to access than with Monterey. As I still had Monterey on the other SSD, just went back to it and updated info from current back up. Now have run into a problem. Decided to take the SSD with 14.6.1 on it and downgrade it to Ventura. Wiped the drive clean and using OCLP created a new USB boot drive with Ventura on it. However every time I click on the Ventura boot at start-up I get ‘Computer re-started because of a problem’ message. Hit a key and all loads as expected. Choose the drive to load and process starts. After going through 1 re-boot and about 12 minutes into all comes to halt with a message basically stating a problem was encountered and choose system to re-boot. After re-booting back into Monterey, ‘Ventura’ disc has ‘- Data’ added to its name and a folder ‘macOS Install Data” is on it. Have done this a couple of time with same results. Have check the intended drive via Disk Unilities and it looks OK. Anyone have ideas as to what is going on?
