Which OCLP OS should I install for my iMac 12,1?

Ive done some research, and I’m not sure if I’m just dumb (probably), but I’m trying to find out with Mac OS would run best on my Mid-2011 27inch iMac. I’ve failed installation multiple times. Also, and links to a straight forward, idiot proof YouTube tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
