What is your experience with Hackintoshing?

I’ll go first.

Ever since I recieved a school owned Macbook Air for high school, I was obsessed with macOS. I liked the user interface and the neat animations. I used to have a Dell Latitude D620 that was upgraded to Windows 7. When I realized that with learning and time, I could run macOS on my Latitude which had an Intel Core 2 Duo processor! I got my genuine Snow Leopard 10.6.3 install disk, configured the BIOS, and followed an online guide from the TonyMacx86 website. All was going well until I got to the intro video stage, which had no video output, but there was audio output. I searched online for cases exactly to mine, but there was nothing. I gave up after numerous attempts. I am fine with Hackintoshing as long as if it is for a personal experiment or et cetera. I am not okay with selling Hackintoshes because that gets people into legal trouble. Looking at this subreddit, I have motivation to experiment with Hackintoshing again. I just need a laptop that has an Intel Core i7 processor, and to make an OS X Mavericks install USB! Even though I was and possibly in the future breaking the Apple TOS and EULA, I feel the want to tinker around, have fun, and learn about machines. How about you? What is your story?
