Wanted to another little mini pc. Thought it would be easy and it was until I tried to fi sleep.
Got everything working except sleep. Like everything. Did all the ACPI patches from the guide, smbios, hpet, etc. Did them manually when the options was there just to be sure. Even made two dumps of the ACPI. One in Linux and one using the SysReport option.
I set the bios to indicate sleep state which blinking patterns and it goes into S3 properly. When waking the computer it turns back on but screen stays off and network isn't working either. Requires a hard reset. Once rebooted it shows up on my other hacks very quickly and Remote Desktop works okay.
I went by and applied all the applicable fixes from the Dortania fixing sleep guide. It should work but it doesn't and I have no idea where it goes wrong. There is no panic and not panic or "hey we crashed" dialog when booting back into macOS either.
I'm at a loss as to how I get debug this and see what's happening when it's trying to wake up. I tried disabling aspm for pci devices, bios options which aren't many also tried them all.
Rebooted so many times by eyes and brains hurt.
It's a little prebuilt Kaby Lake based HP EliteDesk G3 mini with a 7600T nothing special really and while I've seen some success stories I mainly need incomplete ones. I have not seen anyone with working sleep.
Waking from S3 is the only issue right now. Parts are turned on when waking but not ethernet, wifi or the screen. I need logs!
Hope someone can help me! Thank you!
