Specs

  • CPU - Intel i5-8265u
  • 8GB RAM
  • SSD: Toshiba 256GB M.2 SSD (had to replace original SK Hynix model as was causing kernel panics)
  • GPU - Intel UHD 620
  • WiFi - Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 (replaced original Broadcom card)
  • Ethernet - Realtek 10/100/1000 GbE
  • Audio: Realtek ALC236 (using layout 3)
  • Synaptics SMBus Trackpad

Came into possession of this laptop as it was being scrapped and decided to have another crack at creating a dedicated Hackintosh laptop and, from what I've tested, nearly everything seems to be working! I have noticed that the trackpad can be a little buggy at times, and there are also no brightness options at all for some reason - everything else seems completely fine though.
