Sonoma on 2016 13" TouchBar MacBook Pro is even better than Monterey?

Sonoma on an unsupported 2016 13\" TouchBar MacBook Pro

Monterey is reaching its EOL in a few months. So I decided to upgrade my 2016 MacBook to Sonoma to keep using updated apps.

I did a fresh installation using OCLP. However I couldn't get the touchbar working (went all black, no matter how many time applying root patches). I asked online and this guy told me to follow a guide on YouTube. It was pretty funny that upgrading from a supported OS, the applying the root patches actually worked. While a clean installation would not.

I did upgrade my 2012 Retina MacBook Pro to Sonoma earlier. It was usable but running hot and had some graphical glitches. But with the 2016 MacBook Pro, everything went pretty well. Wifi worked, bluetooth worked, camera and microphone worked, and I even got lower temperature compared to Monterey.

So I've been thinking, if this machine is fully capable of running Sonoma, what is the point of dropping its support?
