Hi, I just join the community and have no experience with patching old macs before. Recently my m1 macbook air is broken accidentally, now that the m4 chip is out , I decide to wait for the m4 macs and pull out my old 2015 13 inch macbook pro with 2.7ghz i5 8gb ram as a temporary replacement . It is stuck on macos 12 , and the security update will end this year , given that I have to use it as my primary computer for the next 6 months or so , is it better for me to stick with the official macos for stability or patch it with opencore to receive update? If so which version would you recommend? Also I am using iphone and ipad pro along side, and have to access my NAS (locally) on the computer , so a decent apple ecosystem integration and security is needed in my use cases. Please give me your advices .🙏
