Question about iCloud Advanced Data Protection and OCLP on iMac13,1

I currently have my iCloud account configured with iCloud ADP, and have gotten to the point of getting Sonoma installed on my 2012 iMac.

I'm sitting at the login screen with a couple questions.

  1. iCloud ADP restricts you to only being able to sign in on devices that run iOS/iPadOS 16.2 or later, or macOS 13.1 or later. Will there be any issues with signing into a device running Sonoma, but that Apple's system shows shouldn't be able to run Sonoma?

  2. Even if it doesn't block my sign-in outright, do I risk my Apple ID being permanently banned for using an unsupported version of macOS through OCLP on my iMac? I've heard conflicting reports about whether they can do this. For reference, I've got a 9-year-old Apple ID with multiple Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Apple TV purchases over that timeframe, as well as Apple services throughout.

I'm really just worried about losing my Apple ID to the usual "banned, no possibility for appeal" issues. I've got my primary email through Apple, as well as an Apple Card and several services billed through them and lots of files stored in iCloud, so I can't afford to lose the account.
