Migration Assistant - Monterey to Sonoma - Breaking OS partition

Hi all,

I recently attempted to run migration assistant to copy all my data from another hackintosh running Monterey to another system I have which was running a fresh install of Sonoma.

All was going well and migration assistant copied over the files. However upon restarting and trying to boot back into the Sonoma system. It tries to boot then jumps into the recovery partition instead.

Tried multiple restarts and also reset NVRAM and still the same outcome.

While I know migration assistant may not be an ideal way to transfer it over I'm unsure what the problem could be?

Has anyone came across this issue and if so what is the best route to boot back into the system?

As far as I'm aware, migration assistant doesn't touch the EFI partition at all so I'm unsure why it would now affect the booting of the OS partition. Given the recovery partition is booting fine, I'd assume it wasn't EFI related.

Thanks in advance!
