Inputs not working even through USB Hub (Ventura, iMac 9,1)

I was from Monterey on my iMac 20” Early 2009 and inputs were just fine because they had USB1.1 support, and then I tried upgrading to Ventura in hopes that USB Hub(s) could help with the USB1.1 issue. I tried both USB2.0 and USB3.0 hubs, but nothing seems to work for my keyboard and mouse. Any suggestions or help for this particular problem?
