I've been trying to update my 13" 2016 MacBook Pro to Sonoma a bunch of times (first try was last december I'm quite sure, I've tried again updating OCLP each time) but after I boot the EFI it shows the prohibited icon (a few of times I got the folder with the question mark I think because I messed up some steps while preparing the USB) and each time I went back to Monterey using internet recovery.
This time I was more careful then previous tries and made sure I didn't miss any steps, but still after I boot the EFI, ereased the Macintosh HD e started installing Sonoma the icon appears.
Btw it always happened the same way, I go to install it, it says 44 minutes, and after 20 minutes the icon shows up.
I did successfully install Ventura once, but the I wanted to try Sonoma. I'm thinking of trying getting Ventura again.
Any help? Ideas? Suggestions?
P.S. I kept having trouble with Spotlight while preparing the USB, it would cause to stop the installation so I kept quitting it while the Os installed and it eventually worked? Could that be why I get the prohibited icon?
