This was quite an adventure. First Hackintosh I've ever done, a pretty random idea to do one but I was curious. Went with Sonoma first, gave up due to my motherboard (ROG Strix X570-F Gaming) not playing nicely at all with the AppleIGB kext so I couldn't install it before the connection dropped. Then went with Big Sur... only to realize that my GPU (RX 6600) is unsupported there so there was no hardware acceleration... so I went back to Sonoma and eventually got it working with a different kext after a decent amount of searching. Speaking of that kext... I made a comment on an issue about it in the AppleIGB repository right here. Hopefully some more poor souls with an X570 and Intei I211 network adapter combination finds that useful. Regardless. I'm very surprised by how stable this system runs now when its all said and done. Haven't really bothered configuring the audio codec since my sound either comes through a monitor or some old Steelseries Arctis headphones and it just seems to work. Also don't have bluetooth going right now but will probably fix that later today.
