Updating to New OCLP Issues

I'm running a Macbook pro 2013 with Sonoma. Every time a new OCLP update comes out the computer starts running incredibly slowly, as if I have to update to the new OCLP if I want my computer to work properly. So, I've been trying to update to 1.5.0, but every time I successfully update and do the install it reverts back to the old 1.4.3 and tells me there is an update available. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks
