Stuck on login screen switching periodically to black screen before I can log in.

MacBook Pro 2012 - Sonoma.

It was working fine for a couple of weeks. Very fast, no issues.

I kept putting it to sleep. Today when it woke up the login screen kept switching to a black screen before I could type in the password. It just keeps going between the login screen and the black screen. Black screen has a working cursor on it.

I also noticed that my login profile picture appears to be a little low res.

Tried safe mode, same thing.

I took out of of the RAMs, no change.

I have not updated the version in the couple of weeks, so nothing changed there.

I booted into recovery to check the system disk and there was no issue.

Any help appreciated.
