MacBookpro9,2 no wifi on Sonoma

I was still on Ventura with OCLP 0.6.2, decided to update everything. Downloaded OCLP 1.5.2, built and installed it, updated to Sonoma 14.5 through the system settings, no issues during installation. When it booted, OCLP popped up and promoted me to apply the post-install root patches, which I did and rebooted. So far it all sounds good. The only issue (sadly a big one) is thst my wifi is not working. I can scan for and connect to wifi networks but I can't access any websites, can't ping any addresses, apps that need internet don't launch. Tried re-applying both OCLP and the root patch but no dice. It is weird that I can see the networks and it says it's connected, so some kind of functionality must be there. Any ideas?
