Hey everyone. I recently bought a 1TB Samsung SSD to replace the stock HDD on my 2012 MacBook Pro and I really wanna install Ventura or Sonoma on it. Problem is, I don’t have thumb drives that has more than 16gb of storage (apparently Sonoma needs more space this time) and the “Create MacOS installer” process is very sluggish on those thumb drives.
The question is, is it possible for me to create a MacOS installer on my SSD (connected externally via USB to SATA adapter), install Ventura/Sonoma and OCLP on it, and replace the old HDD with the SSD containing the OS so I don’t have to use my USB to SATA cable? Or do I still need to do the thumb drive method?
