- Hello 👋
i’m looking to upgrade my Mid 2012 13” MBP from Catalina because most of all my apps have lost bug/security update support (mainly google chrome). Lucky I found OCLP. I found out that it can breath life into my old machine for a couple more years before i’m forced to upgrade. I found some straight forward install tutorials on YouTube. The process seems easy to follow and understand for machines that do clean a patch install only.
- Heres my problem.. 🤦
None of the upgrade OCLP YouTube tutorials clean install alongside other OS partitions. I have 3 partitions on my MBP, 2 I want to keep which are my High Sierra & Win10 Bootcamp partitions, and then my Catalina partition in which I want to wipe and upgrade to Monterey. But I am worried that if I do the recommended process I might lose both of my very important partitions with valuable data on them.
- So I ask you all 🙇
What is the safest way to utilize OCLP safely to clean install Monterey over my Catalina partition without interfering with my High Sierra partition and Win10 bootcamp partitions?
- Relevant Information ℹ️
• I have 2 SSD’s Installed in my MBP • SSD #1 (installed in the main bay) has my High Sierra & Bootcamp installed on it and I want to keep those partitions and don’t want to delete or corrupt them • SSD #2 (installed in the optical bay) only has the Catalina partition on it that I want to wipe and upgrade to Monterey with OCLP.
Any and all advice is welcomed and needed! You all have a vibrant and safe day!
