During apple logo, the screen becomes garbled and stays that way.

During boot, the screen will suddenly become gsrbled and impossible to use, however outputting an okay image on an external monitor or tv. This can be worked around by selecting scaled resolution, changing to 1600x900 and then back to 1920x1080. The device in question is a Dell Latitude E7440, running Catalina with following specs: -2GHz i5-4310U -16GB RAM -Intel HD 4400 Graphics I'm using an EFI i found online. How can I fix this? I will provide the EFI structure as well. 3rd photo as you can see is when everything looks right.
