Disabling updates Catalina or lower OS

If you have a Catalina or lower operating system needs to be installed, you can disable upgrades to Sonoma or something else so you don't upgrade yourself by accident or other reason, just by making the system name so:

  • iMac12,1 - iMac 2012, the best, latest thing coming to this device is macOS Catalina (if I'm not mistaken).
  • iMac12,2 - this is already older, iMac 2011, which used to be good, but is already losing relevance gradually, with each update of new systems, it is better to choose this one only for those who do not work iMac 2012 or a weak computer.

I don't know why, but for some reason it makes the operating system run faster, sometimes it's not the operating system that runs faster, it's the applications that run faster instead of the operating system. Thank you for reading all this, I have used this trick whenever I have the right computer for any macOS, so I think my experience is good for someone!
