Can't Boot macOS After Upgrading CPU from Ryzen 5 5500 to 5600

Hi everyone,

I’ve run into a bit of a dilemma with my Hackintosh setup and could really use some help from this awesome community.

My initial setup:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
  • Motherboard: B450M
  • GPU: RX 6750GRE 12GB

Everything was running perfectly with these specs. I even tested my EFI on my friend’s PC which has a Ryzen 5 5600, the same motherboard, and GPU, and it worked without any issues.

However, when I upgraded my CPU from 5500 to 5600, things went south:

  • Opencore couldn’t recognize macOS Recovery.
  • Upon selecting the macOS system during boot, I get a prohibited symbol (like an older MacBook trying to boot an unsupported version of macOS).

I've double-checked my EFI and it appears to be fine since it worked on my friend’s 5600 setup. You can find my EFI here: https://github.com/EraserCN/B450M-Hackintosh/releases/tag/Navi21%2F22%2F23-0613

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what went wrong. Has anyone encountered a similar issue after upgrading their CPU or have any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!
