Any idea why mac would not display my CPU name correctly, even when doing as needed in config?

Hi,

My setup is

Sonoma 14.5 ASUS Z790 ProArt 14700k 6950xt

Using the typical kexts, nothing unusual. RestrictEvents is in there.

My Mac always shows CPU as 3.6 GHz (Unknown). I know, only cosmetic.

SMBIOS is 1.1

This command

% sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string

shows Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700K

In config I have under NVRAM

Under Generic I have

 `<key>ProcessorType</key>` `<integer>3841</integer>` 

I have reset NVRAM. Nothing I do, regardless of ProcessorType results in the CPU name appearing as I have specified.

Ideas?
