Starts to do something, then reboots.

I took a video but looks like I can't upload videos. Anyhow, what happens is I get into the boot picker, choose "install macos Monterey" it looks like it's doing something, like smart people text starts going across the screen, then it just turns off, the inbuilt speaker makes a little pop, and then it reboots. When it reboots it complains about some kind of audio schema thing. Hardware is an i5-7500T in an HP elitedesk 800 G3 mini.
