Monitor loses signal for 20 seconds prior to Sonoma login screen (Asus z790 Proart, 6950xt, 14700k) - ideas?

Hi,

The Screenshot isn't necessarily related. This is just showing something else that might provide insight.

So I seem to have things up and running ok. One thing that's odd, though reported by other users as normal based on my research, is that my screen loses HDMI signal from 6950 XT right after oc verbose output. Then about 20 seconds later the screen comes on at Sonoma login screen.

I attached the image showing the EB.WL.PWLFNV err(0xe) RT.GV wake-failure because maybe it is somehow related.

This particular error happens right after choosing to boot Sonoma and also happened during install after launching install from oc.

Anyway, on my previous hackintosh, Ventura Login screen is almost immediately after oc verbose output. Here seems like Sonoma can't communicate with GPU at first, hence delay.

Here are some specifics.

  • custom ssdts done with ssdttime. The typical ones for my sort of setup
  • drop dmar table, edited my dmar.asl as needed, things in config.plist as needed, disableiomapper false
  • USB map I did via USBtoolbox. Enabled all 3.0 ports, Bluetooth port, led port, internal 2.0 header. That left me just one more to choose so I randomly chose some USB 2.0 port
  • wifi related kexts IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext BlueToolFixup.kext IntelBTPatcher.kext Airport itlwm.kext (alpha Release for Sonoma)
  • spoofed GPU via ssdt and PCI bridge
  • boot args keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=1 agdpmod=pikera unfairgva=1 -radcodec -wegnoigpu -ctrsmt
  • applied tb4 maple ridge ssdt

I can live with the long pause and blank screen but the detective side of me really would like to try and understand what could be at play here. Seems like it is related to power, sleep, GPU

Thanks
