Issues installing open core to internal hard-drive so I can boot without the usb

Hi,

I upgraded my retina, 15 inch, mid 2014 mac to 14.0 about a month or two ago and it was working fine till yesterday when on restart would refuse to boot up and the loading bar would just stay stuck.

To fix this I decided to do the instal again, this time using a new mac to prepare the usb stick. After some work I managed to get it installed and my old mac can now boot up with the new operating system 14.5

Next I went to instal open core to the internal harddrive and reboot. Reboot went fine but when I tried to boot without the usb stick it failed to start and was left with a black screen.

I didn’t have this issue the last time I installed the updated operating system and I’ve followed all of the same steps.

I have a back up and prepared to do a fresh instal and clear the hard-drive before hand to see if that helps but I’d prefer not to.Any advice would be appreciated!
