After weeks of trying to get my Late 2012 iMac (13.2) to install Ventura using OpenCore I finally managed to get it to work this morning - I had to download the installer to a SSD via my much older MacBook (2008) and then configure the OpenCore to patch through the later iMac. It works and runs... to a point.
However it keeps constantly crashing mid-task... can be installing some software, running a program... the thing just freezes up (totally unresponsive) and needs a reboot. Then it will randomly do it again mid-task when restarted, but it's too unstable to work off.
I've tried a different SSD that was configured/installed to my intended iMac and also tried to install it on the tiny partition internal drive - all using the relevant OpenCore patches and all with the same outcome. I even tried Monterey incase it was a Ventura issue - but the same thing, freezing/crashing.
Has anyone had any issues with it continually freezing and managed to find a cure?
