Ia Macbook Pro 8,2. It is late 2011.
After installing Windows 10 on Bootcamp, I created a 128 GB partition, and when it finished partitioning my Macbook rebooted. After that, the screen turned completely black, and nothing happened for an hour. I deleted the Bootcamp disk, and a grey folder with a question mark showed.
I tried Cmd+R to head to the Internet Recovery, and "Mac OS X Utilities" came up. I use Sonoma, not Lion.
I tried to reinstall Mac OS X. "To download and restore Mac OS X, your computer's eligibility will be verified with Apple". After clicking continue, it read: "An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again." I did it three more times, and the same thing happened.
I also went to Time Machine and no backups showed up. I went to Disk Utility and the only thing that showed up was "500.11 GB ST9500420A...", "SuperDrive", and "Mac OS X Base System".
Can my MacBook be fixed?
