Hello, I'm encountering an issue with my mid-2015 15" MacBook Pro with dual GPUs. Recently, I decided to try OpenCore and install Sonoma on my laptop. The installation went smoothly, and so far, everything seems to work as before. However, a few days ago, I noticed a peculiar issue: if the laptop is not connected to a charger and I close it for an extended period, upon reopening, it fails to wake up from sleep. Essentially, when I open the lid, the screen remains black. The laptop appears to be on because clicking the trackpad elicits a response, but none of the keys function to wake it up, except for the power button. Upon pressing the power button, after a few seconds, the Apple logo appears, leading to the login screen, and then everything functions as intended. When checking the battery tab, it seems that the battery stops being recognized for some time. I attempted to reset the SMC, which temporarily resolves the issue by displaying the battery level, but after a day or so, the problem resurfaces: failure to wake up from sleep and the battery level not showing. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and how I can fix it? I don't recall experiencing this issue on Monterey. [link] [comments] |
