1.4.3 and root patches

I'm having the same issues as a lot of people here: I can't boot after root patches.

I can boot again if I go into recovery and bless the last snapshot and delete the kexts. But no matter what installing root patches causes the problem again.

Here's what I've tried:

1. Disabling filevault
2. Using an older version of OCLP (e.g. 1.4.2)
3. Installing root patches in safe mode
4. Restoring extensions folder from a time machine backup

Nothing works.

Has anyone figured out a way to recover from this situation without reinstalling the OS?
