I recently installed MacOs Ventura on my Asus TUF Gaming A520m-plus wifi ryzen 5 5600G IGPU enabled pc.

But I noticed some problems with the sound, the sound card is recognized, but I have an HP m24fwa monitor with sound, macOS recognizes it too but I can't increase and decrease the volume and after some time macOS stops recognizing it.

Is there a way to fix it?

Hello guys, my question is here in the hackintosh sub because I never used a real Mac and don’t know if this happens with them.

When I have a fresh stalled system, install Microsoft office, per example,then I start word, it will only open after about 20 seconds.

After the first time the app will open faster, but if I reboot the system, here comes the 20 seconds.

The question is, is this how it really works, I need to let the apps open when my system is booting for them to open faster, I never made a good Hackintosh, my ssd is low quality or anything else?

I didn’t provide my specs because this occurs with all hackintoshes I used.

My 2014 Macbook air running Macos Ventura through OpenCore 1.4.3 is crashing when I try to run OpenEmu 2.4.1

The OpenCore patches are all installed correctly and from what I saw the HD5000 video drive is already running with acceleration activated. Every time I try to run a game it gives an error regardless of the emulation core I use.

Tried to give permissions access to OpenCore but it didn't help.

so im using the latest update of OCLP on the latest Sonoma on my Mac Pro 6,1 and when I just rebooted and logged in to the Mac it said I needed to resign in to iCloud, so I did, then it prompted my iPhone with a 2fa number process and now my Mac Pro is showing up twice? not sure if this is a known bug but that's pretty unusual since the only thing ive changed was my OCLP version.

im just going to remove the older one from my iCloud account but is this something I should expect on every reboot or is this just a random bug?

I have read that spoofing isn't needed if symbios 1.1. Also read spoofing is good idea if you also have dual windows boot. And read about NootRX as being a no spoof method but that it is work in progress that does not perform optimizations like whatevergreen.

Just yesterday I did install macOS Monterey to my workstation and choose MacPro6,1 (Mac Pro 2013) SMBIOS, pre-checked the serial number and it was wrong, but sometime after this, I see notification that I can purchase Apple Care+ and get shocked about this. I did immediately checked apple website and somehow I got warranty on my "Mac Pro". Can someone explain me for it? It is actually a bug because this Mac Pro is vintage and Apple don't sell it, I don't know any else warranty activation methods. The problem seems to be that an older photoshop setup says that you cannot run it on the new mac OSX and when you have a new photoshop setup it says you cannot run it without a good graphic card. Anyone know a good installation for me on Sonoma 14.4.1 ?

I was using Big Sur before. I am trying to upgrade to Ventura. Using the same EFI as before, but it's stuck on MACH REBOOT now. Also tried updating existing files to their latest versions (acpi, opencore, drivers, etc.), but still the same. Same EFI had no problems with BigSur.

I was tempted to buy a mac mini Late 2014 and use opencore to install sonoma but was advised that i would have terrible performance with it, so i’ve decided do this instead.

Requirement 1: Budget around £250 with some slack. I will be buying all used parts of course.

Requirement 2: SFF size, compact GPU.

Requirement 3: I want to code apps for IOS and want it to be somewhat future proof. Sonoma and xcode 15. Thats it. I don’t care about doing literally anything else on this hackintosh. I will RDP into it so i can do all my web browsing on my windows PC instead.

Firstly, what generation CPU would you recommend? would a 4790k be sufficient? I don’t expect it to be blazing fast. I just need it to be usable unlike those slow VMs which literally take 30 seconds to minimise a window lol

Secondly, what GPU would you recommend that will work with sonoma and xcode 15? literally the bare minimum GPU. Ideally a compact one that can fit in those narrow dell optiplex cases if i decide to get a used optiplex as my base.

I think Mojave is the least to be considered, and I don't think Sonoma will be considerable as of now. Which macOS do you feel will be best suited?

If so, could I then install sonoma and use parallels to emulate 64bit windows for gaming? I have 64gig ram so shud be enough.

So I have a dell latitude e5270 with a supported wifi card and its not working. In the installer it shows up fine and works perfectly normal. But the moment the install is done the wifi icon doesn't show up and the settings doesn't show it. What do i do?
