Troubleshooting Display Issues on Hackintosh (HDMI/DP) - Zoom 🚫

Guide:

If you're experiencing display signal problems on your Hackintosh, particularly with HDMI and DisplayPort (DP) connections, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Cable Connections: Ensure that your HDMI and DP cables are securely connected to both your graphics card and monitor.

  2. Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers installed for your GPU. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers compatible with your macOS version.

  3. BIOS Settings: Verify that your BIOS settings are correctly configured. Key settings to check include "Above 4G Decoding," "Resizable BAR," "Serial Port," and "CSM." Refer to your motherboard's manual or a reliable Hackintosh guide for recommended BIOS settings.

  4. SSDTs: Confirm that your SSDTs (Secondary System Description Tables) are correctly configured. Ensure that you have the necessary SSDTs for your system, including SSDT-AWAC, SSDT-BRG0, SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP, SSDT-GPRW, SSDT-PLUG, and SSDT-RHUB.

  5. Driver and Kext Updates: Update your Hackintosh's drivers and kernel extensions (kexts) to the latest versions available. Check for updates for your GPU, audio, and networking drivers, as well as other essential system kexts.

  6. Monitor Compatibility: Verify that your monitor is compatible with your GPU and macOS. Some monitors may require specific drivers or configurations to work correctly with Hackintosh systems.

  7. Debugging Logs: Check system logs and error messages for any clues to the cause of the display signal issues. Use the Console app or terminal commands like dmesg to view system logs and identify potential errors or warnings related to display drivers or hardware.

  8. Testing Different Ports: Try connecting your monitor to different HDMI or DP ports on your graphics card to rule out potential port-specific issues.

  9. Alternative Solutions: If the problem persists, consider trying alternative solutions such as different graphics drivers, SSDT configurations, or even testing with a different GPU if available.

By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and resolve display signal problems on your Hackintosh running macOS Sonoma 14.3.1. If you continue to experience issues, seek assistance from online forums, Hackintosh communities, or specialized support channels for further troubleshooting.

I installed zoom on my iMac13,2 running 14.3.1. However I get a sign that the app is not supported. I tried two terminal scripts but neither actually ran.

Any help is appreciated.
