Monitor issue

I have a HP Elitedesk 800g1 running Monterey and it will only work with an old square dell monitor. It is the monitor that I use on my bench for working on projects and I’m afraid that’s why it will only work with that one now. I use the DV out to an adapter for HDMI, to my modern LG monitor, and also a Vizio TV and nothing will work, except for the old monitor using an adapter first from DV to HDMI then from HDMI back to VGA has anyone heard of this or have any ideas why it would only work with the one monitor I would think it would not work with? This is a repost I blocked that last guy lol i apologize for the long explanation but how else do i give all the details? Thanks guys!
