No matter how hard we try, the next generation of Hackintosh users will be script-kiddies with next to no experience or knowledge of OpenCore, kexts or multiboot (or even macOS as it turns out). None of these users we help will ever be able to troubleshoot or help others on this subreddit, they simply don't have the knowledge...
I was proud of the fact that I could Hackintosh virtually any desktop or laptop with Chameleon/Clover (having started with 10.4.4 deadmoo image), and worked my way up through the bootloaders and macOS versions (and associated hardware). I have been struggling with OpenCore for the last few years, and can only now begin to grasp the vagaries of the boot procedure.
The sheer amount of borked install attempts, Olaria images and utter user confusion tells me this is the end of Hackintosh (and this Subreddit) as we know it. Even an idiot in a hurry knows how to use Google, and add the word Hackintosh after the hardware details. They would also know the difference between a Kernel Panic and regular boot log messages.
When you direct someone to GitHub, where there is a perfectly working EFI folder for their exact hardware, and these people still don't know what to do... that is when you have to pull the plug.
It has been a pleasure being on this subreddit, and being able to help (and be helped) for so long, but the time taken to TRY and help users is going up exponentially, especially when they know absolutely nothing about what you are telling them.
I will still be lurking here, picking up the odd useful tidbit of information, but I fear my days of helping others here are behind me.
Best of luck everyone, and I hope your Hackintosh days are trouble-free.
