Kept it as original as possible, no leds, no insane mods other then to keep it original looking, rewired the front io other then FireWire, working power button and led, drive bays work other then 2 only to make it possible to use my 3 m.2 full atx motherboard. Original psu housing used hood new psu, rewired fans, everything basically. Working on hackintoshing it right now and got some success Specs are: ryzen 5 5600x Msi x570 Meg unify 5.5 tb in ssd’s I belive Another 5-6 tb in traditional hard drives Rx 6750 xt 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 ram I’m happy all the parts are black and match a theme. Nothing looks really out of place at all. Only thing that does is the missing ram cards are now replaced with a cooler, but the cooler is nice and cantered in the ram “cage”. It really came out to be a great final result of this project and I’m very happy with it. Unlike other Mac Pro builds it didn’t take away any of the design inside or out. no offence to the people who like those builds, some do look pretty cool but imo it just isn’t for me and takes away from the mac pro’s design. The working hard drive bays are also a huge plus to me. Overall just very very happy with the results Don’t have too many pics of the complete process, took a week almost of work after finishing my shifts at work. Definitely a fun way to fill my time, don’t have much pics of my wiring of the front io, fans, or hard drive bays sadly but could get pics if anyone did ask. [link] [comments] |
