Stuck on boot after root patching - Boot into recovery fails

I need help please! OS: Ventura (I suppose latest) Hardware: MacBook Air 6.2 OpenCore Patcher: 1.3.0 What happened: I wanted to update to Sonoma, so I updated OpenCore Patcher, built and installed it, rebooted, installed root patches, shutdown. Now, the boot process gets stuck at about 75%. Unfortunately, I cannot boot into recovery as suggested by the troubleshooting section https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/TROUBLESHOOTING.html#infinite-recovery-os-booting I just get a black screen when selecting the recovery icon. Safe boot gets stuck after 2nd login screen.

What can I do to fix the root patches? And what did go wrong in the first place? I assume booting from another OS via external drive make it possible to revert the root patches on the internal drive just like explained in the troubleshooting? Thanks!
