Recommend a USB flash drive

Do you all have a recommendation on which USB flash drive brand/size I should get for OCLP Sonoma install and Big Sur backup? Should I get a USB stick or a hard drive for install? I haven’t bought a USB stick/drive since college like 18 years ago when they were like 500 MB in size. 😂

I’m totally new to this and reading how I can install Sonoma on my 2014 MBP. I’m blown away that this possibility exists and that the hardware supports it fine but Apple chooses planned obsolescence instead of allowing older Mac’s to have compatibility with newest OS.
