Problems with WiFi on MacBook Pro 9,2 (mid 2012)

I got another MacBook Pro 9,2 a few weeks ago. I was previously using another MacBook Pro 9,2 but immediately before buying my latest MacBook Pro 9,2 I was using a MacBook Pro 7,1 which I thought was a 9,2 when I bought it. I had OCLP running on the 7,1 on the same SSD from my dead 9,2.

Since getting my latest MacBook Pro 9,2 I've found that OCLP doesn't support the WiFi unless I boot up after loading OCLP firmware for a MacBook Pro 7,1 from a USB installer! Looking under my System Report/Hardware/WiFi it says the card type is "Wi-Fi (0x14E4, 0xF5)". Is that enough to identify it? Has someone replaced the WiFi card that should be in there with one from a MacBook Pro 7,1?

I've been having lots of problems with more than one version of the OCLP desktop app detecting what I've done to boot up, then insisting that I must install some firmware for the MacBook Pro 9,2. Force Quit is disabled when this happens.

I need to upgrade my macOS from Monterey to Ventura or Sonoma so I'll have lots more support. How can I deal with this problem of my WiFi card not being supported?
