Fixing BIOS Recognition Issue After NVRAM Reset on Hackintosh

Guide:

If you're experiencing BIOS recognition issues after resetting NVRAM on your Hackintosh, follow these steps to resolve the problem:

  1. Check Boot Priority:

    • Access your BIOS settings by pressing the designated key during startup (usually Del, F2, or F12).
    • Navigate to the Boot Priority or Boot Order section.
    • Ensure that your SSD with the Windows 10 installation and any USB installers are listed and prioritized correctly. If they are not appearing, proceed to the next steps.
  2. Reset BIOS Settings:

    • If the boot priority settings appear correct but your SSD and USB devices are still not recognized, try resetting your BIOS settings to default.
    • Look for an option like "Load Setup Defaults" or "Reset BIOS Settings" within the BIOS menu. Select this option and confirm to reset the settings.
  3. Check SATA and USB Settings:

    • In some cases, SATA or USB settings in the BIOS may affect the detection of storage devices. Ensure that SATA mode is set to AHCI for SSD compatibility.
    • Check USB settings to ensure that USB boot support is enabled and that the USB ports are functioning correctly.
  4. Reconnect Hardware:

    • Shut down your computer completely and disconnect all external devices, including USB drives and peripherals.
    • Open the case of your computer and ensure that all internal hardware components, including the SSD, are securely connected to the motherboard.
  5. Try Different Ports:

    • If your SSD and USB devices are still not recognized, try connecting them to different SATA ports or USB ports on your motherboard.
  6. Flash BIOS Firmware:

    • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider updating or flashing your BIOS firmware to the latest version provided by your motherboard manufacturer.
    • Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully to avoid any risks associated with BIOS flashing.
  7. Contact Support:

    • If you're still unable to resolve the issue, consider contacting the technical support team of your motherboard manufacturer for further assistance.
    • Provide them with details of the problem and steps you've already taken to troubleshoot.

By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and resolve BIOS recognition issues after resetting NVRAM on your Hackintosh system.

I tried "reset nvram" and BIOS only sees OpenCore

What the title says

I tried reset nvram

Now when I hit F2 at startup I only get "OpenCore" no matter what. Even if I don't have the OpenCore USB plugged. I have an SSD with a Win10 install but it won't be shown. Same with Win USB installers.

Tried bios reset.

Can't solve.

Ideas?
