Asus ROG Advantage Edition 2021 - Ventura 13.6.4 Success

Hey everyone just a quick update on my project of installing MacOS on my Asus ROG Advantage Edition 2021 - finally sweet success!

After having this laptop for three years and wanting to try and install MacOS on it, failing unknown number of times in the past three years today I finally succeeded. Many people told me that it’s not possible to install Hackintosh on this laptop due to the Radeon 6800M GPU not being supported and the laptop not having a MUX switch, but it turned out I needed the right guide 😀

Laptop specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900HX with Vega 56 iGPU dGPU: Radeon 6800M RAM: Samsung 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 - Stock 1TB Samsung NVMe SSD

What works:

So far I have only tested these, will test the rest after I fix some issues that I still have.

Intel® Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 and Bluetooth both works perfect

Keyboard and TrackPad

One thing I noticed is my CPU is recognised as an Intel i5, don’t know why, will have to look further into this issue.

Another issue I noticed is that it’s a little slow, buggy somehow and I can hear the fans spinning like crazy sometimes.

I still have to install NootedRed in order to get the AMD GPUs fully supported and maybe then the problem with being slow and buggy will get fixed.

This guy has the best guide on YouTube as far as I’m concerned! I’ve tried countless others and none of them seemed to work for me, but this one finally did it!

Still have to keep working on it and fix the issues, maybe try updating to Sonoma and see what happens, but for now I’m happy I finally got it to install successfully and after three years I know it’s possible to Hackintosh this laptop!
