Addressing the issue of your Xbox 360 controller not working on your Hackintosh setup can be a bit tricky, but let’s go through some steps that could help resolve this problem. Additionally, we'll touch on the Bluetooth issues with your Intel AX200 and Logitech MX Vertical mouse.
Guide Step by Step:
Xbox 360 Controller Issue:
- Driver Check: Ensure you have the latest version of the Xbox 360 controller driver for macOS. GitHub is a good source, but double-check for the most recent updates or forks of the driver.
- USB Ports: Since you’ve already tried different USB ports without success, the issue likely isn’t a port problem. However, ensure that all USB ports are properly mapped in your Hackintosh, as improper USB mapping can lead to device detection issues.
- Extension Conflicts: Check if there are any conflicting drivers or extensions that might be interfering with the Xbox 360 controller driver.
- Test in Another Environment: If possible, test the controller on a standard macOS setup or another computer to rule out any issues with the controller itself.
Intel AX200 Bluetooth Issue:
- Compatibility: The Intel AX200's Bluetooth may have limited compatibility with macOS. Ensure you have the correct kexts or firmware for Intel Bluetooth.
- Alternate Solutions: Since you mentioned a TP-Link BT dongle works with headphones but not with your Logitech mouse, there might be an issue specific to the mouse’s compatibility with macOS.
- Update Logitech Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Logitech MX Vertical mouse.
General Troubleshooting:
- Check Console Logs: Use the Console app to check for any error messages related to the Xbox 360 controller or Bluetooth when you connect these devices.
- Reset NVRAM: Resetting the NVRAM can sometimes resolve hardware detection issues. This is done at boot by pressing Command (⌘) + Option (Alt) + P + R.
Seek Community Assistance:
- If the above steps don’t resolve the issues, consider seeking help from Hackintosh forums. Provide details about your system, the drivers you’ve installed, and the specific issues you’re facing.
Legal and Warranty Considerations:
- Modifying system drivers and using third-party tools can potentially impact system stability. Additionally, remember that creating a Hackintosh is against Apple’s End User License Agreement.
Conclusion: Troubleshooting peripheral issues like an Xbox 360 controller or Bluetooth devices on a Hackintosh requires a combination of driver updates, system checks, and sometimes community support. Given the complexity of Hackintosh systems, these issues can be challenging but are often solvable with the right approach.

What's working:
audio,video,sleep and everything seems right
What isn't working:
Intel AX200 wifi works, but bluetooth no luck.
I plugged in a TP-link BT dongle, bluetooth works with headphone, but not working with my bluetooth mouse, Logitech MX Vertical
Today I tried wired xbox360 controller on my hackintosh to play some game, after I installed driver from GitHub, my pc still can’t not recognize my controller. In the setting, xbox360 extension showed up after the driver installation, but saying “no device found”.
However, when I open a gamepad test website, my controller seemed totally fine and all buttons shown on the webpages moved accordingly.
I also tried different usb port, not working.
Please help!
