I've been using the RX580 and 6700xt for my dual boot Windows and Hackintosh (Opencore) machine. RX580 because obviously the 6700xt wasn't compatible at the time. Been working perfectly fine on MacOS for the last 2-3 years no issues whatsoever. I've actually been using it as my main daily machine. Everything works perfectly - airdrop, handoff, FaceTime, iMessage, etc. Recently discovered NootRX and got hypeeeed that the 6700xt was finally possible. I did the following: - Remove whatevergreen - Add NootRX - OC Clean Snapshot in Propertree and save - Boot from the new EFI on USB Stick - Reset NVRAM - Boot into Ventura However, it keeps getting stuck around the PCI Configuration section of the boot process, not always on the same exact line. Spent the majority of the last 2 days tinkering with different settings that I've seen both here and on other forums to help solve the issue but no luck. Specs: Gigabyte X299 Designare EX Mobo Intel i9 7900x CPU RX580 (Right now..once I get the 6700xt working I'll retire it)...& 6700xt Samsung 980 PRO NVMe My actual knowledge of building a Hackintosh is about a 4/10 on a good day, but I followed the Dortania guide it all went relatively smoothly...minus a few days of losing hair but I ultimately got through. I'm confident I must be overlooking something based on my lack of knowledge. Would definitely appreciate any advice if possible. [link] [comments] |
