Unlock features on MBP 2015 without upgrading MacOS version

Sorry in advance for any grammatical error, not a native English speaker
Hey there!
A couple of weeks ago I bought a 2015 13" MacBook Pro, updated it to Monterey and wanted to try sidecar with my 2017 iPad Pro.
Initially I though that it was somehow hidden on the mac, and unfortunately discovered that officially it is a feature for 2016 or later models; same story went for the "Auto-boot on open lid" feature (I don't know whether it's the correct name or not).

I already knew something about OpenCore and dosdude1's patcher projects since the Catalina version, but now I'm not sure whether they necessarily need to update to Sonoma to work and unlock the unsupported features.
Now my question is: Is it possible to unlock this sort of features (with OpenCore) without the need of upgrading MacOS version?
Thanks in advance!
