I built this Ryzentosh a few years ago from an old g5 I had been saving for exactly this reason. I built it using opencore from scratch. Previously I had built several hackintoshes using clover. I started by acquiring the parts I needed and the back and front panels from “The Laser Hive.” The build consists of: -Gigabyte B450 Aurous M motherboard -AMD Ryzen 5 2600 -Master Cooler cpu cooler -32gb DDR4 G-Skill 3200mhz ram -Sapphire Nitro+ rx580 8gb -Samsung EVO 980 1tb NVME m.2 drive (Mac startup drive) -Samsung EVO 980 1tb NVME m.2 on a pcie
adapter (Windows startup drive) -Western Digital Blue 1tb Sata ssd (Mac storage) -Western Digital Blue 1tb Sata ssd (Windows storage) -Fenvi t919 Wireless & Bluetooth pcie card -LG Blue-ray writer -1000w 80+ gold psu -many custom brackets for ie: (fans, drives etc.) At startup the bootpicker defaults to the Mac drive. Other choices I have are Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) on a external and of course recovery. “Knock on wood” EVERYTHING just works. My family & I happen to live in a heavily Apple product filled home. No, we’re not Apple simps by any means. The stuff just works. Unless you’ve ever lived within the Apple ecology, you won’t understand the convenience of everything talking to each other without effort. Handoff, Facetime, iMessage, Airtags, find my device, it just works. Just built another one to sell and two more, this time intel-based, in the pipeline. I’ve been paying the “Apple-tax” since 1986. All done with that…
