I have a Mac Mini from 2012 with an i7, 2.6Ghz processor, running Ventura via OCLP.
A peculiar issue arises occasionally, one that I cannot reliably replicate. At times, if I turn off the screen (regardless of whether it's connected via HDMI or DP), the Mac fails to recognize the screen afterward. This also happens sometimes when the Mac goes to sleep, but not always.
The only solution seems to be rebooting with an OCLP-USB stick while pressing 'Alt' and then to reselect the EFI boot and then choose the SSD where the system lives. This issue was also present when i tried Sonoma. Interestingly, the reboot process does not always works, sometimes I must repeat it 5-10 times before the screen receives a signal.
Do you have any insights into what might be causing this and how to resolve it?
Thank you in advance, P.
