Today I managed to update my mid 2010 iMac to Big Sur using OCLP and it's run fine except sometimes it's get stuck and completely frozen and unresponsive. My ram is currently 4gb is it the reason? I also recently upgraded to SSD and ordered another 8gb ram so in total it's going to be 12 gb. Could 12gb ram resolve this issue or should I downgrade to high sierra which is unsupported.
