Problems with late 2016 MacBook Pro (13,3)

Hi everyone,

So I've been checking OCLP on my late 2016 MacBook Pro. I was looking into updating my Mac from Monterey to Sonoma. I did a clean install on my internal SSD and everything seemingly went smoothly. The OS runs great. However there seems to be a couple of problems despite the fact that I installed all the required root patches.

  1. The most annoying one is that no app seems to recognize my correct location. Location services are turned on but any app that I use including Apple Maps puts me in a general location far away from my actual one (location services worked correctly on Monterey).
I even had to manually set the time zone in Date & Time settings because it put my timezone in an entirely different country when set to "automatic". Also "My Location" in the weather app displays no info.
  2. Touch ID and unlocking Mac with Apple Watch. Both of these don't work at all. While I don't care about Touch ID (it gave me headaches before on Monterey as well), unlocking with the Apple Watch did work flawlessly on Monterey. However now macOS recognizes my Apple Watch in Settings but when I try to turn it on it displays an error after trying to sync for a couple of minutes.

Did anyone face these problems when installing on this series of MacBook Pros?
