Hey,
I tried to install macOS 11 Big Sur on MacBook 6,1
It has a non-metal GPU so issues are to be expected. That's actually why I chose macOS 11 since from 12 onwards some apps need Metal support (e.g. Maps).
Issue is: after installation I need to use safe mode to boot. Alternatively the Mac is stuck in a reboot loop at approx. 40% progress bar.
Safe mode was also needed to complete the installation when it was stuck at 40%.
I already had the issue that IN safe mode I cannot install OCLP onto the SSD but I fixed that by attaching the SATA-SSD via USB to another Mac, installing OCLP onto it from there (with the correct Mac model set).
But now OCLP is on the SSD, therefore I can TRY to boot macOS 11, yet without safe mode I am stuck in a reboot loop.
Any ideas?
