I've been trying to use ORICO NVMe SSD Enclosure 40Gbps enclosures with 4TB drives and have had mixed success. I first bought a 1TB WD_BLACK SN750I used with a slow-ish 10GBps ORICO enclosure, which has worked reliably. Then bought a 4TB Silicon Power XS70 (with the big heat sink) for use with the Orico 40Gbps enclosure and it's run flawlessly.
