I currently have 4 macs running a variety of jobs running simultaneously and want to consolidate all of that work to a single server. Therefore, I want to build a always-on server running MacOS. I am aware that MacOS is designed to be run on Intel CPUs. Which CPU family (video integrated. Don't need a video card) should I be looking at? Can someone help me with pcpartspicker list of $500 CPU, corresponding MB, 128 GB RAM, ? Any help is greatly appreciated. I can arrange for MacOS installation media. I need to prepare a budget and get it to management. But about $2500 sounds doable.
I am aware that I can do the same thing on a Linux PC far more cheaply. However, MacOS is a constraint I can't elaborate on.
